Podcast #83: Socially Responsible Investing For A Green Planet

August 4, 2020

Socially responsible investing is a strategy where people choose to invest in companies that are environmentally and socially responsible. As well as align with their core values.

Today we welcome Stephan Kerby, author of the book “You Are The Change: A Beginner's Guide To Socially Responsible Investing.” Stephan, a vegan himself,  is an expert on the topic of the effects of animal agriculture on the environment and ethical spending.

Furthermore, his book “You Are The Change” is dedicated to making complex information about investing more accessible.

Stephan shares his story of transitioning to a vegan diet and how his diet led him down a path of wanting to create change in the world. He spent 18 years as an Independent Advisor/RIA before partnering with long-time friend and founder of KMF Advisors, Brad Davis, to run the Socially Responsible Investment division. Stephan became the first financial advisor in the United States to earn the new Chartered SRI Counselor (CSRIC™) designation through the College for Financial Planning.

How we manage our money is one of the most direct ways we can contribute to positive change in the world. And it doesn't matter if you aren't sure where to start investing or if you already have a portfolio, Stephan inspires and empowers us to invest in companies who are socially responsible.
