Peanut Dipping Sauce

Ingredients
  

Main
  • 1 tablespoon of minced fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Mirin (sweet rice wine)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of low-sodium Tamari or soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon of dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon of peanut butter (chunky works best but smooth is fine)
  • Fresh ground black pepper
  • (Optional - extra tablespoon of water to thin it)

Method
 

Steps
  1. In a blender or food processor, combine all the ingredients and blend until smooth. Add a little water if you want it a thinner consistency.
  2. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use. Lasts up to one week refrigerated.
