Top 5 Reasons to Attend The Holistic Holiday at Sea “All Vegan” Cruise in 2016
REGISTER HERE AND MENTION ORDINARY VEGAN FOR AN ON-BOARD CREDIT
As many of you know, I just returned from the 2015 Holistic Holiday at Sea. From March 14 through March 21, we sailed the Western Caribbean and visited Jamaica, Cozumel, Cayman Islands and a private island in Great Stirrup Cay. I had never been on a cruise before so I had no idea what to expect, but everything exceeded my expectations. From the food to the people to the gorgeous destinations, I can’t say enough wonderful things about this experience. There are countless reasons why you should attend this healthy life-changing holiday but here is a rundown of my top 5 reasons to join us in 2016 on the Holistic Holiday at Sea.
1. The People
This turned out to be the best part of the experience for me.
Put 1700 like minded people on a cruise and the feeling of camaraderie is extraordinary. You will meet part-time vegans, full-time vegans, vegetarians, singles, couples and families seeking a more compassionate, healthy lifestyle. I made so many new friends.
I was also very grateful to meet so many members of the Ordinary Vegan community. They inspire me to work even harder to spread the plant-based message to the world.
2. Lectures That Can Change Your Life
Doctors, chefs, best-selling authors and other experts in the health and wellness world share their knowledge to help you live a long, healthy life.
Not only that, but after the lectures, these experts take questions and mingle with all the attendees. I will tell you there is nothing like vacationing with Dr. T Colin Campbell (author, The China Study), Dr Caldwell Esselstyn (leading proponent in reversing heart disease with a plant-based diet) and Dr Neal Barnard (plant-based cardiologist and founder of Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine). All I can say is WOW!
3. The Food
Food, food, marvelous food. Each dinner aboard the ship is a five-course plant-powered feast. It includes an appetizer, soup, salad, entree, and dessert. All meals are designed to accommodate a variety of plant-based diets including gluten-free and/or oil-free.
4. Holistic Fitness Program
No matter what your fitness level is, there is a group exercise class for everyone.
Whether it’s yoga, pilates or a kick-butt aerobics class with famous meat-free athletes, you couldn’t ask for more. If you prefer something more mellow, how about a morning walk around the top deck surrounded by the aqua blue ocean? A great way to start your healthy day. In addition to the fitness classes, there are also meditation classes and self-help programs.
5. Destinations & Excursions
Who knew there were so many shades of blue? I couldn’t get enough of the tranquil, clear, magnificent ocean that surrounded the ship the entire trip. That was enough for me, but every island brought a new adventure. Whether it is snorkeling, hang gliding or visiting turtle sanctuaries, your day can be filled with activities or not.
So, if you ever wanted to experience a healthy vacation full of delicious food, activities, life changing lectures and gorgeous destinations, the Holistic Holiday at Sea cruise is for you. I hope you can join us in 2016. Don’t forget to mention Ordinary Vegan when you register for a $50.00 onboard credit.
