Don’t feel guilty. Most people don’t understand the connection between food and climate change. But how we feel about climate change in the future is very important right now. Because it plays a large part in what’s going to happen to our planet next.

Here are some facts:

New research warns that without radical changes to our diets, the food industry alone is likely to cause an 80% increase in greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

These greenhouse gas emissions cause a man-made greenhouse effect that traps us inside and changes the temperature of the earth’s surface.

Shifting the temperature of the earth even a couple of degrees can throw an entire ecosystem into chaos and create extreme weather events.

Learn how you can fight for our planet’s environment beginning today. It is easier than you think!

We also share a decadent and delicious plant-based whipped cream topping. You’ll never want the whipped can cow’s milk stuff again.

Today’s podcast is about the impact of food production and the environment. Most people don’t understand the connection between what we eat and climate change.

But how we feel about climate change and the environment in the future is important right now.

Because it plays a large part in what’s going to happen to our planet next.

Here are some facts we discuss in today’s podcast:

New research warns that without radical changes to our diets, the food industry alone is likely to cause an 80% increase in greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

Greenhouse gas emissions cause a man-made greenhouse effect that traps us inside and changes the temperature of the earth’s surface.

Shifting the temperature of the earth even a couple of degrees can throw an entire ecosystem into chaos and create extreme weather events.

Cow farts which are methane warm the earth’s atmosphere 23 times as much as carbon dioxide.

The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, stated, that cattle will have a greater environmental impact than cars and trucks.

Cow inventory is increasing because of our demands for meat and dairy.

China’s largest meat producer acquired US pork giant, Smithfield, which is the globe’s largest hog producer. The deal is to send the USA made pork to China to meet their increasing demands for meat relegating us to be one big factory farm for China.

It doesn’t stop there. China’s thirst for milk has made them the world’s top dairy importer. They are drinking five times the amount of milk than a decade ago, but that’s not good news for the environment. China is also building one of the biggest dairy farms in the world.

Agriculture uses approximately 70% of the world’s fresh water supply because of the demand for meat and dairy.

Learn how you can make changes in your life that will have a direct positive impact on climate change and the environment. It’s easier than you think. We can stop the supply and demand by changing what is on our plate. We can cut back or eliminate foods that are hurting our planet.
